Having recently learned about glogs, I faced a dilemma. Do I allow my students to utilize problem solving and collaboration skills to learn how to create a glog when I haven’t already created one OR do I postpone introducing the use of glogs until I have a time to learn how?
Since my students had access to a lot of pictures and video from homecoming, I elected to have them learn how to glog using those resources. The free glogs were created on Glogster.
From this experience with glogging, I believe that the skills the students learned while figuring out how to glog far exceed skills they would have learned if I had directed their activity.
